Prime Video has greenlit the new competition series Beast Games from YouTube mega-star MrBeast in a bid to draw more kids to the streamer.

Jimmy Donaldson (a.k.a. MrBeast) has 245 million subscribers on YouTube, and his new show for Prime Video will have a massive US$5-million cash prize that’s sure to draw eyeballs. MrBeast’s channel is a favorite among both boys and girls in the seven- to 12-year-old demo, according to the Monitor Report 2024 that ChildWise released in February.

Details about MrBeast’s series are minimal at this point, but it’s set to feature 1,000 contestants in a fast-paced competition format.

This is just the latest example of MrBeast parlaying his digital success beyond YouTube. In January, he inked a deal with Moose Toys for a range of licensed action figures and collectibles that will launch worldwide this fall. He also partnered with Feastables on a snack line in January 2022. And FilmRise has been distributing MrBeast’s content to streaming and broadcast platforms since 2021.
