After three years in development, Apple TV+ has pulled back the curtain on WildBrain’s remake of Yo Gabba Gabba!, a hugely popular live-action preschool show that aired on Nick Jr. from 2007 to 2015. Yo Gabba GabbaLand! (pictured) is officially slated for an August 9 premiere on the global streamer.

News of the revival first broke back in 2021, when Apple struck a deal with WildBrain (co-owner of the brand with Yo Gabba Gabba LLC) to pick up the complete original series (66 x 30 minutes) and order a brand-new iteration from the two partners. This reboot is a 20 x 30-minute episode order, with the first 10 episodes making up the first season.

Original costumed characters Brobee, Foofa, Muno, Toodee and Plex are set to return in the new show, which still takes a music-centric approach to teaching life lessons through song and dance. But Yo Gabba GabbaLand! will feature a brand-new host named Kammy Kam (performed by Kamryn Smith), and it has a star-studded lineup of guests including music producer Diplo, writer/actor Sam Richardson, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea and actor Gillian Jacobs.

Christian Jacobs and Scott Schultz, the wacky co-creators of the original series, are attached to the new project as EPs on behalf of Yo Gabba LLC, alongside WildBrain’s Josh Scherba and Stephanie Betts.
