Mattel is partnering with New York’s Live Nation Entertainment and Argentinian events company BeFun to take its brand-new Hot Wheels City Experience to Europe. This marks the second pitstop for the show, which debuted in São Paulo, Brazil earlier this month.
The 6,000-square-meter Hot Wheels attraction will be open at Manchester’s BEC Arena from August 13 to September 12. It features 10 interactive exhibits for guests of all ages, including a design center to create custom virtual cars, a gamer zone with a wide range of racing titles, and an immersive museum for taking photos of life-size versions of popular Hot Wheels vehicles.
In addition, there’s a Hot Wheels City official merchandise store stocked with a wide range of exclusive cars, tracks and apparel. And all guests will take home a custom Hot Wheels driver’s license to commemorate their time at the show.
The Hot Wheels City Experience is the latest attraction to come out of a growing LBE business unit that is also working on a Mattel Adventure Park and a World of Barbie touring exhibit. Yesterday, the company announced record-breaking attendance numbers for its Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Glow Party in Mexico City, which attracted more than 70,000 guests to four sold-out shows at Arena CDMX.
