DeAPlaneta hires a new kids franchise and marketing head

Pol Benedí joins the company from FC Barcelona, where he helped build the pro football club's licensing business.

Spain’s DeAPlaneta Entertainment has hired Pol Benedí away from FC Barcelona to serve as head of franchise and marketing for its kids & family division. 

Benedí started in his new role a couple of weeks ago, replacing former Zinkia brand manager Luisa Ramirez, who recently left the company. Tasked with launching and expanding kids brands at DeAPlaneta, he has inherited a portfolio that includes newer launches such as Hero Inside (commissioned by WBD LatAm for a November 2023 debut) and Magic Lilly (picked up by Super RTL in October), as well as flagship series Milo, which has sold to buyers in more than 170 countries worldwide, including PBS KIDS in the US.  

Benedí previously worked with football franchise FC Barcelona for five years, and his career to date has focused on sales and licensing roles.
