Jeff Jackson joins Fat Brain Toys as EVP

The former Hasbro Canada SVP and GM is tasked with expanding the preschool TOMY-owned preschool toy manufacturer's business.

Illinois-based TOMY International has hired former Hasbro exec Jeff Jackson to run its Fat Brain Toys brand as EVP.

Jackson has spent the last 20 years working at Hasbro, most recently serving as SVP and GM for Canada, but also doing stints as SVP of global e-commerce, Amazon and channel strategy and VP of US marketing for boys and girls during his long tenure.

Jackson will leverage his previous experience to build up Fat Brain’s business, which is focused on manufacturing educational and musical toys and games for preschoolers. Its product ranges span crafts, fidget toys and pretend play items such as baking and doctor sets.

TOMY International acquired Fat Brain Toys in 2020 in a strategic move to expand its direct-to-consumer business. Fat Brain already had a thriving DTC platform, making it an appealing prospect during the pandemic, when so many consumers shifted to online shopping.
