TOMY International has promoted Julie Gwaltney from senior director to VP of toys, a bump that comes with added responsibility for the company’s farm vehicles brands (Big Farm, Monster Treads and John Deere Preschool) and Amazon business team.

She reports to president Greg Kilrea, and will continue to oversee the Lamaze brand, TOMY Games’ tabletop titles and the popular Club Mocchi- Mocchi- licensed plush range.

Gwaltney has nearly 20 years of experience in the toy industry, starting out in 2005 as a marketing director for RC2, where she managed major preschool licenses including Thomas the Tank Engine and Bob the Builder until the company was acquired by TOMY in 2010. Before rejoining TOMY in 2018, she established a consumer products program at Sassy Baby Products as director of marketing and licensing, and started up her own consulting business.
