BBC Studios Kids & Family is extending the global reach of several titles in its catalogue with a raft of new deals for tween live-actioner Popularity Papers and preschool toons Bluey and Hey Duggee.

Produced by London’s Studio AKA, Hey Duggee (196 x seven minutes) has been sold to SBT Brazil and Iceland’s public broadcaster RUV. These deals are on top of VOD sales to The Roku Channel, Tubi and Peacock in the US. And BBC Studios has also renewed its broadcast deals with international channels including WBD Italy, Knowledge Network Canada, DR Denmark and WDR Germany.

Hey Duggee has been a ratings hit since debuting in 2014—with three billion views on its official YouTube channel and 1.36 billion views on BBC iPlayer in the UK. The series was greenlit for a fifth season last October, along with an upcoming spinoff called Hey Duggee’s Squirrel Club.

Also expanding its global paw print is Bluey (pictured) from Ludo Studio. BBC Studios has sold the third season of this powerhouse preschool toon to DR Denmark; Italy’s Rai Yoyo and DeAJunior; and LaTVian Television Latvia. And YLE Finland and De Agostini Editore in Italy have picked up the first season. Moose Toys has also been renewed as Bluey’s master toy licensee in a multi-year deal

The show is fresh off a high-profile third-season finale special that aired last month and racked up 10.4 million views globally in its first week on Disney+.

And finally, after debuting in Canada on YTV last April, Popularity Papers dropped on Hulu in the US last month, following pick-ups from ABC Australia and Nickelodeon UK & Italy. This book-based series (26 x 30 minutes) about two kids trying to crack the code of popularity hails from Canadian prodcos Aircraft Pictures and WexWorks Media, in association with BBC Studios Kids & Family.
