The nominations for this year’s Broadcast Digital Awards are out, with the BBC emerging as a top kids contender.

The award program—which honors the best digital content, creators and channels in the UK—released its shortlist last week. This year’s ceremony will take place in London on July 3.

The Beeb netted four of the six nominations in the Best Digital Children’s Content category. BBC Studios’ Game On! For BBC Children in Need is in the running, alongside three CBBC titles: True to Nature’s factual wildlife series One Zoo Three (26 x 22 minutes); Eagle Eye Drama’s Zagazoo special from Quentin Blake’s Box of Treasures; and The Famous Five (three x 90 minutes, pictured) from Moonage Pictures and byNWR.

Meanwhile, Sky Kids also received two noms in this category—Magic Light Pictures’ educational preschool series Pip and Posy Let’s Learn (26 x five minutes) and Fresh Start Media’s 30-minute documentary Save Our Wildlife.

For the Best Digital Support award, CBeebies’ Supertato (BBC Digital Teams and BBC Studios Kids & Family) made the cut in the program-based category while Cartoon Network Climate Champions (WBD EMEA Creative Agency) scored a nod in the strand/genre/channel-based category. And finally, CBBC is also in the running for Best Specialist Channel and the coveted Channel of the Year against older-skewing contenders.

The full shortlist is available on the Broadcast Digital Awards website.

In other BBC news, an immersive experience for kids under six will kick off in July at Westfield London. The 55-minute CBeebies Rainbow Adventure will feature settings from popular shows like Hey Duggee, Bluey, JoJo & Gran Gran and Mr Tumble and Friends. Tickets are on sale now on the show’s website.
