In a major MENA content power-play, Dubai’s OSN has acquired exclusive regional rights to TV shows and feature films from Warner Bros. Discovery’s expansive library that were previously held by Qatar’s BeIN.

This new multi-year agreement covers first premiere rights to all new Warner Bros. Pictures films (following their theatrical releases), including recent hits Wonka, Barbie (pictured), Dune: Part Two and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire; upcoming first-run originals from Max (which isn’t available in MENA), such as the much-anticipated Harry Potter series; and movies from WBD’s back catalogue.

OSN is well on its way to becoming a media giant in the MENA region. Just last month, it completed an acquisition of music streamer Anghami, creating a company that generates a combined US$100 million in annual revenue and serves more than 2.5 million paid subscribers.
