Leila Loumi has left a senior director of global licensing position at Licensing Matters Global to join Banijay Rights as the company’s first-ever VP of licensing.
Still based in London, Loumi reports to group director of licensing and merchandise David Christopher in her new role. Banijay Rights represents a content catalogue that boasts more than 180,000 hours of programming from in-house studios and third-party partners, including kids & family series such as Simon’s Cat and Masterchef Junior USA.
Loumi spent a total of four years at Licensing Matters Global, which represents Xilam’s Oggy Oggy IP as well as consumer brands such as KFC and Shell. And prior to this agency gig, she worked in licensing at WarnerMedia (international licensing director of fashion) and Hasbro (brand and sales business development).
