Hasbro’s iconic Transformers brand has carved out space in its busy calendar for the launch of a brand-new game this fall.
London-based Outright Games has announced that it will release Transformers: Galactic Trials, featuring a mix of combat and racing elements, on October 11 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Steam.
Embarking on a mission to retrieve stolen artifacts from the evil Nemesis Prime, players can navigate the game’s battle-race circuits as either Autobots or Decepticons. This action-packed title developed by Italian indie 3DClouds also has an arcade mode offering multiplayer and custom racing options.
Outright has previously published two other games for the franchise: Transformers: Battlegrounds (2020) and Transformers: Earthspark Expedition (2023). The company specializes in family-friendly entertainment IPs, and its 2023 releases included PAW Patrol World, Bluey: The Videogame and Baby Shark: Sing & Swim Party.
The launch of Galactic Trials is timed to coincide with the Transformers’ 40th anniversary this year. And the game is scheduled to drop just a few weeks after the much-anticipated Transformers One feature film premieres theatrically in the US on September 20. Hasbro has already started rolling out toys based on the CG-animated pic, with a first range of products that hit retail in April.
