PlayMonster appoints Diverse Marketing as its North American retail agent

The toy wholesaler will drive growth for PlayMonster by securing new accounts and promoting the manufacturer's latest products to retailers using its US showrooms.

PlayMonster has inked a new deal with Texas-based toy wholesaler Diverse Marketing to manage its retail accounts in North America, effective immediately. 

Under the three-year open-ended agreement, Diverse will work with partners in mass, specialty and independent retail channels to position PlayMonster for growth and enhance its brick-and-mortar presence. In addition, the wholesaler operates showrooms in Dallas, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Minneapolis and Seattle that give retailers a chance to engage in a hands-on way with its clients’ product ranges. 

This year, PlayMonster is aiming to expand its portfolio across a wide range of key product categories including games, arts & crafts, outdoor and activities. The toyco is best known for manufacturing lines based on Hasbro-owned brands including KOOSH rubber balls (pictured), Playskool figures, Spirograph activity kits and MagnaTab drawing tablets. 

In addition to its new deal with PlayMonster, Diverse Marketing has similar partnerships with Spin Master, Hape Toys, Tonies USA and Schylling.
