- French distributor Dandelooo has secured worldwide sales rights to Barcelona-based Teidees’ new 2D-animated comedy Under the Sofa (52 x seven minutes, pictured), which is slated to deliver in Q2 2025. The series is aimed at kids ages six to 10 and follows the adventures of a group of lost toys and trinkets that learn to live together underneath their owner’s couch.
- WildBrain and Mattel have closed a bunch of new sales for their animated co-pros Fireman Sam and Polly Pocket. Cartoonito, RTÉ and NRK picked up season 16 of Fireman Sam, with streamer hoopla buying 289 episodes for the US and Canada, and WildBrain launching the brand’s FAST channel on LG Channels, Samsung TV Plus and Sling Freestream in the US. In Polly Pocket news, Cartoonito, ITVX Kids and TeleTOON+ have acquired season six; Swiss SVOD blue Play picked up seasons one and two; and hoopla bought the first 130 episodes for the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
- PGS Entertainment has tapped Gropp Consultancy in the Netherlands to distribute its CG-animated series The Jungle Bunch and Miss Moon in German-speaking territories. The Jungle Bunch debuted in 2013 and spans three seasons (104 x 11 minutes). It’s currently airing domestically on France 3, and has also sold in the past to Boomerang (UK) and Universal Kids (US). Meanwhile, Miss Moon (52 x 22 minutes) launched eight years ago on TFOU TV and has previously run on Boomerang in Central and Eastern Europe.
- Pocket.watch has partnered with Colorado-based software developer Veritone to expand its advertising business through AI. Veritone will work with the team at Clock.Work (pocket.watch’s advertising partnerships division) to automate and deliver new ad-targeting campaigns on YouTube Kids for a roster of digital influencers that includes Ryan’s World, Dan Rhodes and Love, Diana.
