Israeli toyco PMI Kids’ World is launching a new patented collectible toy concept called Booksy this year to help kids develop a love of reading. Each toy figure in the range comes apart in two pieces to reveal a miniature storybook.

A debut Monster Tales line featuring nine original characters and stories (as well as a small bookcase playset where young readers can display their Booksy titles) is set to roll out to retailers in North America, the UK, France and the Middle East next month.

Then in November, PMI will expand the brand with new collections featuring Paramount’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and PAW Patrol franchises. And these licensed ranges will launch exclusively at Walmart.

PMI also holds licenses to Sonic Prime (WildBrain CPLG), Piñata Smashlings (Toikido), Miraculous (Miraculous Corp) and Stumble Guys (Scopely), which the toyco could potentially leverage to expand the Booksy brand even further.
