Deals in Brief – October 23, 2024

DeAPlaneta/Mediawan Kids & Family's Karters races into a master toy deal, and Miraculous sends kids on an in-store sticker hunt with Burger King in France.

  • TOMY International has locked down global master toy rights to Karters (pictured, 52 x 11 minutes), a new CG-animated series co-produced by DeAPlaneta and Mediawan Kids & Family. TOMY will create figures, vehicles, playsets and plush based on the bridge show in which kids race small cars on fantastical tracks. Cartoonito EMEA has an exclusive first window on Karters, but a premiere date has not been announced yet.

  • Miraculous Corp has cooked up a broad deal with Burger King to promote its Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir and Ghostforce series in France. Running until December 2, the fast-food chain’s King Jr. meals will feature posters, stickers, a matching game and branded packaging based on the IPs. And kids can also earn prizes in a scavenger hunt for Miraculous stickers hidden around the stores. Themed decorations, table-top stickers, branded menus and in-store art round out the initiative.
