- Stretchy is partnering with New Zealand’s University of Canterbury (UC) to start production on the animation studio’s first Kiri and Lou feature film, using the university’s Kōawa Creative Technologies Precinct as its main animation studio. The agreement also lets students in UC’s 2025 Bachelor of Digital Screen honours program attend guest lectures/workshops led by the studio’s animators, and take part in a one-week internship opportunity.
- Toonz Entertainment—Toonz Media Group’s distribution wing—has lined up new sales for Kevin Gillis’ 2D-animated classic The Racoons (60 x 25 minutes) in German-speaking Europe. Dolphin Medien will air the show in Austria, Germany, Italy and Switzerland, while Sense of Media will cover the CIS and Baltic countries.
- Roblox developer Gamefam is collaborating with Spin Master for the third year in a row to add the toyco’s Monster Jam IP to its Car Dealership Tycoon game. Kicking off later this week, the campaign will let players race with 18 licensed Monster Jam trucks and design a new dealership themed around the league’s racing champion, JCB DIGatron. The previous two Monster Jam activations have added a combined 74 million visits to Car Dealership Tycoon on the Roblox platform over the past two years, bringing the title’s total visits to more than two billion.
