Not many kids shows were recognized by the association this year, and most that were come from Disney+.

The Critics Choice Association (CCA) has unveiled the TV category nominees for its 30th annual Critics Choice Awards, and Disney+ shows Bluey (pictured), X-Men ’97 and Agatha All Along are among the few younger-skewing titles to be recognized.

CCA shortlisted Ludo Studio’s Bluey and Marvel Studios Animation’s X-Men ’97 for Best Animated Series, where they’ll go up against several shows for older audiences: The Simpsons (Fox), Invincible (Prime Video), Bob’s Burgers (Fox) and Batman: Caped Crusader (Prime Video). Bluey has been nominated in this category for the last three years, but has yet to win.

Meanwhile, superhero series Agatha All Along from Marvel Television, which includes tweens/teens in its broad target, helped Patti LuPone score a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

CCA will announce this year’s winners on January 12 during a live televised event on E!, which will also start streaming on Peacock the next day.

It’s worth noting that preschool toon Bluey stands out as this year’s only nomination that’s purely for kids. And Disney+ is pretty much the only platform with shortlisted kids & family programming. There are, however, a handful of nominated shows that can skew younger, including ABC’s Abbott Elementary (four nominations) and CBS’s Young Sheldon (one nomination).

The full list of nominees is available on the Critics Choice website
