- Sony Pictures’ domestic distribution chief Adrian Smith (pictured left) is retiring at the end of the month after nearly 35 years with the studio. He will be succeeded by Adam Bergerman (pictured right), who has been upped from EVP and general sales manager to president of distribution. Smith has managed the domestic release of several major kids titles during his tenure, including Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Angry Birds Movie, Goosebumps and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.
- MGA Entertainment has promoted Michelle Lilley from EMEA marketing VP to managing director of the UK and Ireland. She now oversees all key brands in these markets, including L.O.L. Surprise!, Rainbow High and MGA’s Miniverse collectibles. The toyco is also planning to showcase a range of new products at the Nuremberg International Toy Fair at the end of January.
