- GKIDS has struck its first theatrical distribution deal with Bandai Namco Filmworks and will release Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX–Beginning– in 426 US theaters on February 28. The film is a re-edited package of several episodes from the upcoming GQuuuuuuX anime series, which follows young high-schooler Amate Yuzuriha as she competes in underground mech battles with her own Gundam.
- New Europe Film Sales has acquired global distribution rights to Tales From The Magic Garden from co-producers Maurfilm (Czech Republic), Artichoke (Slovakia), ZVVIKS (Slovenia) and Vivement Lundi! (France). This stop-motion animated feature film sees three children visit their grandfather’s house for the first time after the death of their grandmother, creating new fairytales together about a mysterious cat, a not-so-scary monster and a flying man.
