DEALS: Sanrio and Heathside ink a licensing pact

Also, Moon-Keys adds Migali to its line-up, and Labubu steps into the trading card game.

  • Sanrio has tapped Heathside Trading to launch collectibles based on two of its popular IPs: Hello Kitty and Friends, as well as Gudetama. Under Heathside’s Khadou brand, the range will target all ages, hitting the market sometime in 2026. Heathside has also been a licensing partner for other major brands including Molang, Star Trek and Stumble Guys. 
  • Distributor Moon-Keys International Content has picked up Migali (52 x 11 minutes)—a 2D-animated series aimed at five to eights that will launch next year. Easy Peasy Entertainment and Bardaf! Productions co-produce this toon about a royal school. Broadcast partners are TF1, RTBF, VRT and RTS. Migali is the latest addition to Moon-Keys’ catalogue, following RAI Kids’ Melody & Momon. 
  • Trading card brand Topps is embracing a viral toy phenomenon with its latest product line. The company has unveiled a collection of Topps x Labubu trading cards, featuring artwork by IP creator Kasing Lung. While the character has been around since 2015, Labubu—a small, scruffy-looking monster—has grown to become a top-selling sensation for Pop Mart.
  • CAMP and BBC Studios are launching a “Bluey’s Backyard” immersive retail experience in Minneapolis in November, followed by Miami in December. The 4,000-square-foot space will offer games, craft activities and photo ops inspired by the series. This experiential expansion builds on CAMP’s success with multiple Bluey-inspired experiences across the US. 
  • Incredible Group has signed on as the exclusive distributor for Blokees in Canada to help strengthen the toyco’s regional presence. With more than 100 million figures sold worldwide, Blokees specializes in buildable toys and boasts an impressive roster of licences, including Sesame Street, Transformers and Star Wars.  
  • Bejuba! Entertainment has picked up distribution rights to CG-animated preschool series It’s Andrew (40 x seven minutes). Previously titled Andrew the Big BIG Unicorn, this series hails from Pirate Size Productions, Mainframe Studios and Infinite Studios. ABC and CBC have commissioned the show and are set to launch it in December.
