On the heels of a homepage redesign for standard profiles this summer, Netflix is now rolling out a similar update for kids profiles.
The streaming giant has revamped its kids homepage with more intuitive design elements—part of its strategy to make content viewing a smoother experience for its youngest viewers and their families.
The key changes include faster real-time recommendations. While suggestions previously took longer to adapt to viewing habits, a new update will now make the homepage respond quickly to the viewer’s moods and interests in the moment.
To provide cleaner visuals and shortcuts, the new layout has also moved the navigation bar from the left side of the screen to the top. And the options are now simplified with tabs—Search, Home, Shows, Movies and a My Netflix tab that makes it easier to revisit favorites. This should serve kid audiences well, given their love for rewatching content.
When introducing its homepage redesign for standard profiles in May 2025, the streamer highlighted the move as part of its tech efforts to help members navigate its massive and ever-growing entertainment library with more ease.
That said, kids profiles will hold onto some older features that have worked well for the streamer’s family audiences, including character-themed rows and the Mystery Box option. But these profiles won’t carry any of the newer mobile-specific features (such as the vertical feed and the GenAI search experience), which are currently still in testing and only available on standard profiles.
