  • Mattel is diving into the deep end of location-based entertainment with a deal to open a chain of indoor waterparks in the US. Through a new partnership with Martin Aquatic, American Resort Management and developer I-dentity Group, the company plans to build Mattel Wonder Indoor Waterparks in Orlando and four other locations. The parks will feature Mattel brands such as Barbie and Hot Wheels as part of attractions like lazy rivers and waterslides. Theme parks are a new business for Mattel; its first one, Mattel Adventure Park in Arizona, is scheduled to open later this year. And a second location in Kansas City is set to follow in 2026.

  • Future Today is adding several 2D-animated preschool series from Hello Einstein Studios to its HappyKids content library, including Farm Explorers, Ocean Explorers and The Classics. Available in English and Spanish, these series teach preschoolers about topics like animals, music and language.

  • Hasbro’s Wizards of the Coast has partnered with Capcom to make a Magic: The Gathering card set inspired by the video game developer’s Monster Hunter franchise. Available in English and Japanese, the cards will start rolling out in December.
