Spin Master recruits Jodi Mackie

BBC Studios’ former senior director of content sales and co-productions has landed at the Toronto-based toyco as senior director of global distribution. Mackie (pictured) joined the company three months ago and will leverage her experience distributing kids & family titles such as Hey Duggee and JoJo and Gran Gran into expanding the domestic and international reach of Spin Master’s entertainment IPs, which include Unicorn Academy, Vida the Vet and Bakugan. 

ZURU Toys ups Brittany Oliver to CMO

Joining the China-based toyco in 2018 and working her way up the ladder from brand executive to commercial director over seven years and multiple marketing roles, Olvier will now be the company’s chief marketing officer. She is based in New Zealand and has responsibility for spearheading marketing campaigns for a ZURU toy portfolio that includes XShot blasters, Fuggler plush, Mini Brands collectibles and Eggy Wawa surprise eggs.
