Craig Takiguchi takes the reins at Sanrio in the US

The house of Hello Kitty has elevated Takiguchi (pictured) to serve as its CEO in the US and Americas. He started in this new post on January 1—moving up after working for a decade as the company’s COO and head of business development for the same region. Still stationed in the company’s LA office, Takiguchi will now focus on expanding Sanrio’s presence in the broader American market by driving more fan engagement and innovation in L&M and partnerships.

Animaj recruits a former Moonbug ad sales exec

Uko Obot has joined the tech-forward French studio as director of global advertising and brand partnerships. Based in London, he held a similar EMEA-focused role at Moonbug Entertainment from 2021 to 2025. And earlier in his career, Obot worked as an account manager for companies including NBCUniversal, Hasbro and Paramount Home Entertainment.

Janet Brown is leaving BBC Studios after four years

The president of global content sales has opted to exit her New York-based role this April, due to the company relocating the position to the UK as part of a strategic move to have its sales boss work more closely with productions chief Zai Bennett in the London office. BBC Studios is now searching for Brown’s successor in the UK, while she pursues new opportunities in the US.

The Mouse House is making a unified marketing push

Disney has upped longtime exec Asad Ayaz into its first-ever chief marketing and brand officer position. Since joining the company in 2005, Ayaz has worked in a variety of senior marketing-oriented roles. But his new gig puts him in charge of a company-wide marketing organization that spans entertainment, sports, consumer products, gaming, parks and experiences.
