In just three years, kids podcast network Starglow Media went from being a wish on a star to a superstar in the audio entertainment space. That’s what made it so attractive to SuperAwesome—and our readers decided to award it Kidscreen‘s Gold Star after its acquisition by the kids techco last week. Here’s what we said about the company on Friday:
Starglow Media: Jed Baker’s passion-project kids podcast network is now a super-awesome company. And we’re not just giving a compliment; Starglow was acquired by kids techco SuperAwesome this week after hitting some remarkable milestones in less than three years (like 120 million-plus annual listens and several Nickelodeon partnerships). SuperAwesome couldn’t ignore this fast-rising star and jumped on the chance to move its multi-channel system connecting brands with kids into the audio space. We’ve got our eyes (and ears) open for what’s next.
And find out what we said about our runners-up—Dave Filoni & Lynwen Brennan, Pam Kaufman, Wow! Stuff and Xilam Animation—right here.
