Nurture welcomes Animaj’s Pocoyo

The app that lets kids watch, play and learn with familiar brands such as the Care Bears and Crayola has done a deal with Animaj to add its 2D-animated toon Pocoyo into the mix. Three interactive videos (called “Weekend Getaway”, pictured) are launching on the app today. These videos are broken up by moments in which kids can play educational games to solve problems that don’t have just one right answer, like how to pack an overstuffed suitcase. (Potential solutions include pretending it’s a car.)

Bluey jumps into Minecraft

BBC Studios and Ludo Studio have teamed up with developer Jigarbov to let fans build the house from Bluey in Minecraft. Jigarbov makes maps and experiences that are available for purchase on UGC platform Minecraft Marketplace. In Bluey DLC: Bluey’s House, users can play games like I spy and hide-and-seek with the show’s characters, while searching for keys and unlocking new rooms to explore. The experience will be available to users worldwide starting on February 5, with pricing to be announced when the content is launched.

StoryZoo acquires two Mediawan Kids & Family series

Available on platforms including Samsung TV Plus (Germany and Austria) and Prime Video (Germany), kids FAST channel StoryZoo & Friends has picked up animated series Power Players (seasons one and two, 78 x 12 minutes in total) and Robin Hood: Mischief in Sherwood (52 x 12 minutes).

Banijay Kids & Family strikes a deal with Rakuten

Rakuten TV has licensed animated series Totally Spies! and LoliRock for a handful of territories it operates in. The FAST and VOD service has taken seasons one and two of LoliRock for the UK, Ireland, Spain and Italy; and season one and two of Totally Spies! for the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands and Spain. It also picked up Totally Spies! seasons three and four for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

GoNoodle uses the Force with Disney

The exercise-focused platform has partnered with Disney and Lucasfilm to create content featuring Star Wars characters that’s designed to teach kids meditation and mindfulness skills. The first thing to come out of this deal is an animated video on YouTube in which The Mandalorian‘s breakout star Grogu (a.k.a. Baby Yoda) uses a breathing technique to relax. Disney and Lucasfilm plan to roll out more content throughout 2026, partially to build anticipation for upcoming film The Mandalorian & Grogu, which premieres in theaters on May 22.

Jeremy and Jazzy are touring the US

Canadian prodco Vérité Films has partnered with Liftoff Events to take its live stage show Jeremy and Jazzy: Shake it Up on its first US tour. This musical adventure for preschoolers is adapted from a same-name CBC Kids TV series and will kick off at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center in Manhattan on March 14. The live show premiered in Canada in 2024.
