8 Lions to manage YouTube growth for Lupus Films’ The Hive

London-based distributor 8 Lions Entertainment, which focuses on YouTube-first IPs, has teamed up with Lupus to manage the YouTube strategy for its CG-animated preschool series The Hive (pictured). Handling localization and long-term growth for the 147 x seven-minute series, 8 Lions plans to launch new channels in English, Spanish, French and German. The Hive revolves around a bee who learns soft skills while spending time playing with friends and hanging out with his family. It spans two seasons and also has three 22-minute specials in its catalogue. Lupus produced The Hive with DQ Entertainment, Monumental Productions and Bejuba! Entertainment. The series is more than a decade old, and Disney Junior and Disney+ have previously aired it.
