Disney emerged as the clear frontrunner at last night’s 2026 Kidscreen Awards ceremony, collecting eight wins and outshining Netflix (five), PBS KIDS (four) and BBC Studios (three).

These annual awards celebrate the year’s best work in children’s television and digital media. Comedian, TV personality and podcaster Jessi Cruickshank was back by popular demand to  host this year’s ceremony, which took place during Kidscreen Summit 2026 in San Diego.  

Disney Branded Television and Disney Television Animation shared multiple wins, including Best Inclusivity (Kids) for Primos and Best Digital Series (Kids) for Cartoonified!. And Disney Branded TV even managed to finish in a tie with itself for Best Holiday or Special Episode (Preschool), with awards going to both Mickey and Minnie’s Christmas Carols and Mickey’s Spooky Stories. 

Last year’s big winner Nickelodeon scored two trophies this time around, including one for Best Holiday or Special Episode (Kids). And several titles collected multiple awards, including Out of My Mind, Bluey and Kiff. 

Recognizing new ways in which brands are engaging kids, this year’s Kidscreen Awards program introduced a pair of Best Roblox Experience prizes, with Windy Isle Entertainment (Preschool) and Brookhaven creator Voldex (Kids) now on record as inaugural winners. 

And let’s not forget awards season darling KPop Demon Hunters, which brought home a trophy for Best One-Off, Special or TV Movie to Sony Pictures Animation and Netflix.
