The BAFTA Television Awards released its 2026 nomination list today, and it includes kids TV favorites from the Beeb, Cartoon Network and Sky.

Children’s programming is recognized in three categories that were folded into the main awards ceremony last year after the standalone British Academy Children’s Awards program was shuttered: scripted, non-scripted and a craft award for behind-the-scenes talent.

Dialogue-free Sky Kids series BooSnoo! was nominated twice again this year, repeating its appearance in the non-scripted and craft categories. Cartoon Network’s The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball (a revival of The Amazing World of Gumball  that launched last year) also earned a pair of nods in scripted and craft, with Aardman figuring into the same categories with its stop-motion hits Shaun The Sheep (scripted) and The Very Small Creatures (craft).

Across all genres, the BBC is the broadcaster with the most nominations, scoring a grand total of 73—and it has an impressive presence in the kids categories, too, with five nominations for projects such as New Pictures’ live-action comedy drama series Crongton and Magic Light Pictures’ book-to-special adaptation The Scarecrows’ Wedding.

The BAFTA TV Awards ceremony will take place on May 10, following a TV Craft Awards ceremony on April 26. Here are all of this year’s nominees in the children’s categories:
