Atiya Henry joins Disney Branded TV
The Netflix alum is stepping into the role of EVP of production at the kids division, where she’ll serve as a key member of president Ayo Davis’ leadership team. Working closely with creatives and business teams, Henry will oversee production for animation and live-action programming across Disney+, Disney Channel and Disney Jr. She will report directly to Disney Entertainment Television head of production Carol Turner. Henry joins after a seven-year run in a similar role at Netflix’s drama division, where she oversaw production for the superhero series Raising Dion and the upcoming Little House on the Prairie reboot.
Fathom Entertainment CEO to step down
Ray Nutt plans to exit the specialty theatrical distributor later this year after nearly a decade. Having joined in 2017, Nutt will be actively supporting the search for his successor and ensuring a smooth leadership transition. Fathom has carved out a niche in the North American market for staging big-screen anniversary releases and event cinema, including several family-friendly re-releases like Coraline, the Harry Potter franchise, the Twilight Saga and, most recently, this month’s limited engagement of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II.
