Wizards Beyond Waverly Place says goodbye

Going into production soon, Disney’s revived tween series (pictured) will conclude with a third season comprising four episodes. It’s a shorter run than the first (21 episodes) and second seasons (10 episodes) of this sequel series to the live-action sitcom Wizards of Waverly Place. Since launching in 2024, Beyond has ranked among the top five streaming titles overall among key demos like six to 11s and 12 to 17s, according to Nielsen data.

Hasbro puts a licensed spin on Guess Who? and Monopoly

The toy giant is hitting retail with two buzzy licensed launches. First up, coinciding with all the hype surrounding the Pokémon spin-off Pokopia, is a Guess Who? Pokémon edition. The deduction game involving guesswork by two players allows fans to flex their Poké-knowledge when asking questions. Hasbro also dropped a new Super Mario Galaxy Movie edition of Monopoly. Though there have been Mario-themed Monopolies before, this one is packed with tokens specific to the new sequel, like a Yoshi egg and Rosalina’s Luma.

PBS KIDS game Echo Explorers gets inclusive

The online video game based on the Cyberchase franchise has expanded onto Monarch—a multiline braille device from the American Printing House for the Blind (APH)—thanks to a recent partnership with the WNET Group and Bridge Multimedia. Using braille and tactile graphics, children who are blind or have low vision can play the game, which involves freeing bats from a cave using their spatial sense and STEM knowledge.
