Producer Sally Marchant moves into Cbeebies commissioning role
The producer of the BBC Studios Kids & Family series Go Jetters Go! is taking on a new role as commissioning executive for animation for ages zero to six at CBeebies. She is scheduled to serve in the role until September as she covers for a parental leave, according to the BBC. She will report to Kate Morton, head of commissioning and acquisitions, 0-6. A veteran producer, Marchant has worn several hats over a 20-plus year career in the industry, including EP, production manager, development consultant and scriptwriter on kids shows. Some of her credits include 123 Number Squad!, Moley and Peppa Pig.
Digital Domain hires a VFX supervisor with Marvel and Disney credits
Jelmer Boskma, an alum of DNEG and ScanlineVFX, has joined Digital Domain as VFX supervisor to oversee its output. Digital Domain is a well-known VFX house that works with major studios on VFX-heavy films, such as Avengers: Doomsday, Supergirl and A Minecraft Movie. Boksma has plenty of experience on these types of movies, having worked as a VFX supervisor at ScanlineVFX, which worked on Ant-Man and the Wasp, X-Men: Apocalypse and the series Star Wars: Andor.
