Tulipop: Magical Seasons seeks out presales

Iceland’s Tulipop Studios has named Toonz Media Group as the international sales agent for its animation Tulipop: Magical Seasons (pictured, 70 minutes). The preschool film is packaged from two seasonal specials (Pumpkin Pip and A Midwinter Tale) in the eponymous franchise. Toonz is presenting the project to buyers at the ongoing Cannes film market, seeking international presales across theatrical and broadcast.

JJ & Mikey expands with pocket.watch

The digital-first IP (featuring a bunny and turtle gaming duo) from family gaming channel Maizen is setting up more franchise touchpoints in a new partnership with pocket.watch. The media company has tapped Scholastic to publish books based on JJ & Mikey in early 2027 and named Bonkers Toys as master toy licensee with an eye on formats like plushies and blind-box collectibles. pocket.watch has also sold JJ & Mikey to platforms like Tubi and The Roku Channel and and will start streaming the series this summer.

Molang appoints a rep for the Iberian Peninsula

Millimages has signed on Barcelona- and Milan-based Caravanserai to serve as the regional licensing agent for its flagship brand, Molang. Looking to grow the brand’s consumer product footprint across Spain, Portugal and Andorra, Caravanserai will focus on categories like fashion/accessories, home décor and stationery. The agency also reps other major kids brands like Miffy, The Little Prince, Popeye, Gruffalo and Friends and Peter Rabbit.

Stomp! Stomp! Rhinos scores new sales

Boat Rocker has sold the preschool series to faith-based streaming platforms Minno and Yippee, Spanish and Portuguese-language service Edye and Australia-headquartered Kanopy. Last year, Boat Rocker picked up distribution rights to three seasons (39 x seven minutes) of the OAK9 Entertainment series. The toon follows a trio of rhino siblings who learn to manage their everyday emotional responses.

Paddington gets a wooden toy collection

StudioCanal is partnering with Le Toy Van for a range of wooden toys based on the iconic bear IP. The toys are slated for a Q4 launch across select premium retail partners in the US and UK, followed by a broader global launch in 2027. The collection includes wooden character figures and a recreation of the Brown family home; a Paddington-inspired wooden train set; and a special edition of Le Toy Van’s double decker bus with Paddington branding.
