Hasbro lines up a dining experience and a racing collab

Bucket Listers, which creates experiences and has an app for US consumers to discover things to do, has teamed up with the toyco to launch a limited-time cafe based on the Candy Lane board game (pictured). The cafe opens its doors on July 9 in San Diego with activities for an all-ages crowd, including DIY cookie decorating and photo opps inspired by the game’s candy locations. July also marks the launch of an F1 version of Monopoly, part of the racing league’s focus on securing multiple partnerships to reach kids.

The Rock and the Nacelle Company spotlight Disney Cruise Line

The prodco behind the docu-series Behind the Attraction for Disney was commissioned to make a two-episode special focused on Disney Cruise Line. The episodes will cover how the fleet started and how the experience has changed over the years. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is an exec producer on the specials through his Seven Bucks Productions shingle. The episodes will premiere on Disney+ on June 24. The cruise industry expects a record number of people worldwide (38.3 million) will hop aboard a cruise this year, according to trade group Cruise Lines International Association.

King Features and SEGA bring Popeye into a Sonic game

Now here’s an unexpected team-up: The spinach-scarfing pirate is appearing in the multiplayer mobile and PC game Sonic Rumble Party for a limited-time event that will let players buy skins, emotes and stickers based on Popeye characters. King Features, which manages the Popeye brand, secured the deal for its characters to appear in the game from May 20 to June 10. The game is available on iOS, Android, Google Play and Steam.
