Preschool SVOD service Hopster has launched Hopster School—a special in-app educational area focused on STEM subjects—and commissioned a new exclusive science show entitled Clever Brenda.
Featuring curated playlists and games, the space aims to promote “accidental learning,” where kids can bounce around from different STEM subjects and pick up skills accidentally while playing.
Hopster School’s new animated series Clever Brenda is created by London-based illustration agency RUDE and follows the adventures of a smart girl who explains basic science-related concepts to children, like how recycling and the water cycle works and how bodies function.
Hopster is also launching a brand-new learning game for the area called Sheep Count in which kids can learn to count from one to 10 by tapping sheep on their way to a barn disco.
Hopster School follows the app’s recent addition of digital playroom Sense, which helps kids, particularly those with autism, develop sensory processing skills. The hub features a number of original animated shows about accepting differences including Punky, Mouk, Bino and Fino, The Adventures of Zee and Signed Stories.
