The Process
Setting out to recognize spots that ‘inform, educate and entertain,’ this year’s Golden Marble Awards for Top 10 Kid Spots limited eligibility to TV ads targeted primarily at kids ages six to 14 that had run in accredited media within the U.S. or Canada between June 1, 2001 and June 1, 2002.
Our panel of nine judges from the kids advertising industry were asked to individually assess a shortlist of 25 entries selected by the KidScreen Editorial team, awarding each submission a mark between one and 10 (with 10 being the best score). The shortlist was also reviewed by the Children’s Advertising Review Unit, and any entries that were not deemed to meet CARU guidelines were disqualified. Final results were determined by averaging the judges’ scores. Judges were asked not to evaluate their own agency’s work, and they were encouraged to provide comments in support of their marks. Now without further ado, KidScreen would like to introduce and thank this year’s judges for their time and expertise.
