Warner Bros. extends Latin American merch reach

The studio’s Latin American merchandising interests–previously repped by Brazilian licensing agency Imagine Action–will now be handled by a new spin-off unit called Warner Bros. (South). Marcus Macedo will head up the Sao Paulo-based consumer products office, reporting to VP of Latin American Licensing Claudio Ludovisi in the Burbank, California office.

Sketchers USA skates into Britney Spears marketing deal

Footwear manufacturer Sketchers USA has signed an exclusive worldwide licensing agreement with pop star Britney Spears to advertise and sell a Britney Spears collection of 4 Wheelers (Sketchers brand shoe-skates) and skate accessories. The license extends Sketchers’ relationship with Spears, established in 2001 by an endorsement deal for Sketchers athletic footwear.

Cinema Sue, Ted’s Bed and Gordon Giraffe head to Broadway

Broadway Video Enterprises has signed an exclusive agreement with Toronto, Canada-based prodco Cuppa Coffee for worldwide television, home video, theatrical and merchandising rights to three of Cuppa’s developing animated series–Cinema Sue, Ted’s Bed and Gordon Giraffe.
