Cartoon Network Online (Atlanta, Georgia, 404-885-2263): Paul Condolora has been named VP of business development and new products, responsible for creating new revenue opportunities with an emphasis on content licensing, commerce, wireless, broadband and interactive television. Condolora was previously the head of the multimedia department at Sony Pictures Imageworks.

Fox Family Channel (Los Angeles, California, 310-235-9739): Tamara Brown has been appointed to the newly created role of VP of marketing. Brown will be responsible for managing the overall creative direction of the Fox Family Channel brand, in addition to developing and implementing new prime-time and daytime marketing strategies. She was previously at Mamamedia.com as director of project management, overseeing the production of web-based advertising and mini-sites for promotional partners.

HIT Entertainment (London, England, 44-207-554-2500): Jocelyn Stevenson has been appointed executive VP of creative and development, in charge of commissioning new productions and overseeing those already in development, including Plugg and Dinosaur Roar. Stevenson was writer, producer and creator of award-winning children’s books and television shows, including Fraggle Rock, Sesame Street and The Magic School Bus. Laura Clarke joins HIT as licensing manager in the Consumer Products division, where she will be working on top brands like Angelina Ballerina. Previously the senior licensing executive for toys and games at BBC Worldwide, Clarke was responsible for the European Teletubbies and Tweenies licensed merchandising campaigns.

The itsy bitsy Entertainment Company (New York, New York, 212-989-3660): Robin Sayetta has been appointed president of off-screen entertainment, and Julie Turkel has joined as brand and product development consultant overseeing sales strategy and implementation for several core licensed categories. Responsible for handling high-profile licensing categories for the Off-Screen division, Turkel will work in the development of the overall apparel and accessories program for Eloise. Sayetta and Turkel both come from the licensing and marketing team at Discovery Communications. Philip Clark has been named executive director of brand management, overseeing the Off-Screen division’s brand marketing and strategy initiatives, as well as the strategic marketing initiatives to develop and implement long-term property growth. Most recently, Clark was VP of creative and product development at Statcard.com, where he oversaw the development, marketing and promotion for a new, interactive toy product.

The Jim Henson Company (Hollywood, California, 323-802-1500): Ritamarie Peruggi has been promoted to executive VP of production worldwide. Peruggi will oversee all aspects of Jim Henson’s television and ancillary production activities, from preproduction through delivery. She is currently the executive in charge of production for Bear in the Big Blue House (Disney Channel) and Telling Stories with Tomie dePaola, a new children’s educational program set to debut this year (Odyssey Channel).

The Jim Henson Television Group (London, England, 44-207-428-4000) Angus Fletcher has been upped from executive VP to president of The Jim Henson Television Group, Europe from executive VP. Fletcher is also co-creator and executive producer on The Hoobs.

Knowledge Adventure (Torrance, California, 310-793-0600): Alan Zack has been named senior director of business development/strategic planning, overseeing licensing, merchandising, content acquisition and publishing functions. Zack has been a global brand manager at Activision, a product manager at Mattel, a marketing specialist at Coca-Cola and a brand manager (film collection) at Walt Disney.

McGraw-Hill Children’s Publishing (Cambridge, England, 44-122-335-7788): Located in Cambridge, England, Carole Mills has been named managing director for international operations. Mills had been the kids division’s managing director for Living & Learning and LDA (both divisions of McGraw-Hill focusing on events and literary products for kids with learning disabilities) since 1997, guiding the educational toy unit’s marketing and sales in the U.K. and U.S. In her new role, she will guide global expansion, seeking to develop sales relationships in all world markets.

PBS (Alexandria, Virginia, 703-739-5000): Following a 60-position staff cut as part of a reorganization of its programming division and the consolidation of its educational outreach programs, PBS has appointed John Wilson to co-chief program executive in the programming division. Previously senior VP of programming East and programming services, Wilson will still oversee scheduling, but with an extended reach into children’s programs and programs tied to PBS fund-raising efforts.

Scholastic Entertainment (New York, New York, 212-343-7500): Nancyann Volpe has joined as sales director of licensing, responsible for selling and managing the extension of Scholastic’s properties, trademarks and brands into the manufacturing, licensing and promotion communities. She will also handle all aspects of licensing deal negotiations, service relationships with existing licensees and identifying potential licensing and promotional partners. Most recently, Volpe was VP of consumer products at Marvel Enterprises, playing a leading role in the company’s licensing campaign for X-Men: The Movie, as well as developing successful programs for other superhero franchises such as Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk and The Fantastic Four.

Sony Pictures Consumer Products (Culver City, California, 310-244-7788): Shelly Josias has been promoted from manager to director of international licensing. Makiko Mitsui has been upped from administrator to manager of international licensing.

Telemagination (London, England, 44-207-434-1551): Alan Simpson has returned to his former position as director of animation following a brief departure to work as supervising director for the preschool animated series Letters From Felix at Loonland Studios in Hungary. As creative head of the London studio, Simpson will oversee the development of all new projects and direct selected series and specials.

Universal Studios (Universal City, California, 818-777-2100): Louis Feola, who has been president of Universal Family and Home Entertainment Production for the past three years, has been appointed to head the new Universal Pictures Franchise Development division.

Warner Bros. (Burbank, California, 818-954-6000): Diane Nelson has been promoted to the newly created position of senior VP of family entertainment in the marketing and planning division. Nelson is responsible for the Harry Potter franchise and will oversee marketing initiatives for other family-oriented live-action and animated releases.

Warner Bros. Animation (Burbank, California, 818-954-6000): Sander Schwartz has been named president, responsible for the studio’s physical production of theatrical, television and DTV animated programming. Schwartz will also oversee the animated utilization and adaptation of Warner Bros.’ classic library characters for non-programming uses. Schwartz comes from Sony Pictures Family Entertainment, where he was the division’s first president. Jean MacCurdy stepped down as president of WB Animation to become a creative consultant for the studio, focusing her energies on creative development of animated and live-action programming for kids in all media and continuing to work on general kids initiatives.

Warner Bros. Consumer Products (Burbank, California, 818-954-6000): Formerly chief marketing officer for Warner Bros. Online, Jordan Sollitto has been appointed executive VP of worldwide marketing. He will be responsible for the overall development and implementation of worldwide branding, marketing strategy and promotions plans, as well as helping to maximize cross-divisional marketing and promotions efforts. Karen McTier has been promoted to executive VP of domestic licensing from senior VP of North American sales. McTier will oversee North American domestic licensing activities for all Warner Bros. and Cartoon Network properties, including Looney Tunes, Harry Potter, Scooby-Doo, The Powerpuff Girls and DC Comics. She will also manage the theme park licensing business. Marcia Aoki has been appointed managing director of the Warner Bros. Products office in Japan. Previously, Aoki was a business consultant to several U.S. companies in Japan, where she helped develop Snoopy Studios within Universal Studio’s theme park.

Whamo Entertainment (Los Angeles, California, 310-477-0338): George Port has joined as head of business development, responsible for managing aggressive strategy and growth, strategically acquiring properties and distributing to the international market. Port was previously at Anchor Bay Entertainment for 15 years as president until 1998, and recently served as managing director of Anchor Bay International.
