Peep this. I was at the stable on the blower with my road dawg to see when he could dip out. He wants to go wilding, maybe hang with some bettys. For sheezy, I says, but I’m a little light on the chedder. Normally I’m ballin, but my folks’ hooptie is all janky, so I’ve had to use my flow on some other rizzi. That’s bootsie, man, no?

In other words:

Listen to this. I was at home talking on the phone with my best friend to see when he could go out. He would like to go out for some entertainment, perhaps with some girls. I said sure, but I don’t really have a lot of money. Normally my financial position is fine, but my parents’ car is getting old and isn’t working too well, so I’ve had to use my allowance on other transportation. That’s a really unfortunate situation, wouldn’t you agree?

Some useful abbreviations for lightning-speed Instant Messaging (or making sure no one but their friends know what they’re talking about):

idk: I don’t know

w/e: whatever

gtg: got to go

pos: parents over shoulder

brb: be right back

lyl: love you lots

Extreme kid transport

The Diggler: ‘Born for the love of gravity, of carrying speed, of sliding, of cranking turns, of busting some air, of mastering tricks and terrain, of being with friends, of being outdoors, of having fun, of smiling and laughing, and of dreaming big.’ Rob Fruechtenicht, Diggler founder and CEO.

The Diggler is an extreme scooter, combining all-terrain wheels and a strong frame to emulate the excitement of BMX biking, snowboarding and skateboarding all into one package. Target: 12- to 25-year-olds.

Digglers retail (at FAO Schwarz stores and www.mountainscooter.com) for between US$199 and US$600. A new US$199 model debuted at the Super Show-a North American sporting industry trade show-at the end of January.
