TBS UK inked a deal with mobile Internet portal Mviva to roll out Cartoon Network World this fall, a service for wireless devices providing games, toon trivia, listings and character screensavers. Mviva (owned by Carphone Warehouse and AOL) launched in July in the U.K., with a late summer launch skedded for Europe. The deal also includes CNN Mobile telephone/news service, and both brands will tap into promos in Carphone Warehouse’s 320 U.K. stores. Also, Fonerange, a mobile phone accessories company, signed on to develop a licensed range of character-based phone merch.

In other toon news, Cartoon Network and Turner Classic Movies debuted in Israel on Matav Cable as 24-hour channels mid-July.
