Global distributor Federation Kids & Family and its prodco Cottonwood Media have closed new presale deals for animated comedy Squish in Belgium and Israel.

RTBF and VRT (Belgium) and HOP! (Israel) have picked the series up to air in early 2019, after it debuts in France on Gulli, its commissioning broadcaster.

Co-produced by Cottonwood Media and Spain’s Planeta Junior, Squish is the first project to come out of a new global development, distribution and licensing partnership between the two companies.

Based the New York Times bestselling graphic novels by Jennifer Holm and Matthew Holm, the 52 x 11-minute series explores the life of an amoeba looking to find his place in a world of single-cell organisms.

Federation has been growing the Squish brand online of late, appointing Little Dot Studios to manage Cottonwood—and by extension Squish—on YouTube.
