Paris-based producer and distributor Cyber Group Studios has opened an animation studio in Roubaix, France.

A team of 15 is currently working at the new studio, located in Northern France, and Cyber Group is looking to hire approximately 35 new creative and production staff by 2020. The company already has 120 employees at its Paris headquarters.

The studio will be the production base for Cyber Group’s shows Tom Sawyer (pictured) and Taffy. Tom Sawyer follows the new adventures of the mischievous boy and his friends, while Taffy is a new co-pro with Turner due to bow internationally on Boomerang and in France on France Télévisions.

The opening of the Roubaix studio is part of Cyber Group’s ongoing expansion plan that included the opening of a California office in January 2017 and a plan to open its first office in China by 2019. The producer also recently signed a raft of global broadcast deals for 15 series in its library, including Gigantosaurus, The Pirates Next Door, Mirette Investigates and Mini-Ninjas.
