* Toon Disney, Disney Channel’s 24-hour all-animation network, will be added to Canales N starting this summer, as part of an effort to expand the Disney brand’s reach into the growing Latino market. Owned by Liberty Media, Canales N is the digital tier of Spanish-language cable channels across the U.S.
* Lions Gate Entertainment animation subsidiary Ciné-Groupe has announced an agreement to produce 22 half-hour episodes of Kids From Room 402 and 14 half hours of the second season of Bad Dog. Both shows are scheduled to begin airing in the final quarter of 1999 on Fox Family Channel. Kids From Room 402 and Bad Dog will be distributed in the U.S. by Fox Kids Worldwide, and in Canada by Montreal-based Ciné-Groupe.
