In July, Playskool Books will pack off a plethora of titles for the three-and-up set starring the busy spud of film and TV fame. Mr. Potato Head and the Mixed-Up Groceries and Mr. Potato Head’s Missing Sock (US$2.99 each) are the first two titles in a new series of eight-by-eight storybooks, and in two new Funshape books-Mr. Potato Head Makes His Lunch and Mrs. Potato Head Chooses Her Shoes (US$5.99 each)-the squeaky spud-shaped tomes teach kids simple culinary skills (food shapes) and fashion sense (naming colors). There are also sticker storybooks, Mr. Potato Head’s Busy Beach Day and Mr. Potato Head: Space Spud! (US$4.99 each), and a pair of Bendy Leg books, Mr. Potato Head Learns to Dance and Mrs. Potato Head Goes Shopping (US$6.99 each), with poseable limbs to augment the action-packed plotlines.
