U.K.-based Link Licensing has put out the licensing call for the EBU co-production Noah’s Island. Link is coordinating the U.K. program, with a focus on finding licensees to fill the categories of books, apparel and bed linens. Current U.K. licensees include Martin Yaffe (figurines, plush) and Redan (comic books). Link is ratcheting up its licensing campaign to coincide with the first U.K. home video release of the preschool program from Warner Home Video, which secured the worldwide video rights to series one and two last June. In addition, Link is coordinating the licensing efforts of its subagents in each of the 18 countries in continental Europe in which the show airs. To date, ITEL, which controls the international distribution rights to the show, has sold series one and two of Noah’s Island to 36 countries. Last November, the EBU commissioned prodco Telemagination to begin work on series three of the program. The first of those 13 x 25-minute episodes will begin airing on BBC 1 in the fall.
