Superights sends Pat the Dog to China

The French distributor inked an agreement with Chinese digital platform Mango TV to air the animated series in the region.

French distributor Superights has signed a deal giving Chinese digital platform Mango TV the rights to air animated series Pat the Dog. The first season (78 x seven minutes) will launch in the spring, followed by season two in the fall.

Co-produced by Superights parentco Superprod and Italy’s Animoka, Pat the Dog stars a canine up for doing whatever it takes to save his owner Lola from trouble. Season two will feature 63 x seven-minute episodes, four TV specials and 10 short films. Several broadcasters have already bought the first season including Turner EMEA & Asia Pacific, Disney Channel (US, Spain, Russia, Germany), Radio Canada (French-speaking Canada), Discovery Latin America, RTS (Switzerland), YLE (Finland) and MTVA (Hungary).

Superights also recently signed six new broadcasters for Clay Time, a new series produced by French studio REAZ.
