Pokémon TV app looks to catch ’em all with redesign

The updated platform includes a new interface and allows users to download content for offline viewing.

The Pokémon Company International has redesigned its TV app, launching a new user interface and making the animated film Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us available for a limited time.

The updated digital streaming platform features episodes from the animated series and a number of the brand’s films. It is available on compatible iOS and Android devices, available for download for free through the App Store and Google Play. The update will soon also be on Pokemon.com, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and select smart TVs.

Additionally, the updated Pokémon TV app allows users to download and store content for offline viewing and lets users switch between compatible devices without losing their place through a Pokémon Trainer Club account. The update includes full seasons of Pokémon the Series: Indigo LeaguePokémon the Series: Sun & MoonPokémon the Series: Sun & Moon–Ultra AdventuresPokémon Generations and Pokémon Origins. Moving forward, all upcoming seasons of Pokémon the Series will be released in full on the app.

Recently, The Pokémon Company International launched products inspired by Pokémon Detective Pikachu, its first live-action movie. The range includes interactive plush and action figures from Wicked Cool Toys, construction sets from Mattel’s Mega Construx brand, apparel and a new trading card game collections.
