Penguin Putnam Books for Young Readers will release eight books based on DreamWorks’s new animated theatrical release The Prince of Egypt, which debuts on December 18. Hitting mass and specialty retailers on November 2 are:

*The Prince of Egypt Classic Edition (US$12.50), HC, illustrated, for ages four to nine;

*The Prince of Egypt: The Movie Novel (US$4.99), illustrated, PB, for ages 10 to 14;

*Through Heaven’s Eyes: The Prince of Egypt Deluxe Storybook (US$14.99), HC, picture book, for all ages;

*Miriam’s Gift: Book & Keepsake (US$9.99), HC, with pendant and necklace premium, for ages six to nine;

*The Prince of Egypt: Read-Along Storybook & Tape (US$7.99), PB, for all ages; *The Prince of Egypt: The Movie Scrapbook (US$12.50), a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the film, PB, for ages eight and up;

*The Prince of Egypt Coloring Art Book (US$5.99), PB, for ages six and up.

Penguin is offering retailers 24- and 48-copy floor displays and endcaps for the books. All displays come with free P of E movie posters.
