Children’s interactive video game producer NewKidCo is releasing its second title for the PlayStation format, Tiny Toon Adventures’ The Great Beanstalk (US39.95). The game, targeted to kids ages five to 11, takes as its premise the classic fairy tale of Jack and the Beanstalk. The object for players is to help maneuver Tiny Toon characters Plucky Duck, Buster, Babs and Almyra through obstacles, solve puzzles and collect prizes from the giant’s castle. NewKidCo will be launching a media blitz to support the title, which will target parents of young children. Beginning in November, spots will run during the Rosie O’Donnell Show and Today, and during select programming on CNN, Lifetime, Discovery Channel, A&E and USA Network. NewKidCo will also be taking out full-page ads in key parenting publications. The Great Beanstalk will be available at all retailers on October 25.
