A group of German financial institutions and private companies will inject US$19.3 million into new film subsidies and studios. The goal, according to Bavarian State Minister Kurl Fultlhauser, is to turn Munich into a media city, similar to Cologne and Berlin. In a speech to the state Parliament, he says the government will use the infrastructure investments to build a modern media center.
